Positional Camps

Setters: This camp will be split into two different groups: setters and non-setters. Setters will work on footwork patterns, hand positioning, tempo, and decision making. Non-setters will work on hand-setting, bump-setting, setting out-of-system, and setting in-system as well. The emphasis will be on balance, contact, height of set, and accuracy of set. You will get a lot of reps!

Attackers: This camp is designed to help players improve their attacking by focusing on their approach and arm swing with the emphasis on learning how to jump higher, hit harder, and contact the ball in a variety of ways to increase their range. We will work on different set types and there will also be an emphasis on the decision-making process and how to transition from passer to attacker and blocker to attacker.

Liberos: This camp is designed for players who want to focus on the skills of serving, passing, digging, out-of-system setting, and covering. We will work on the fundamentals as well as expanding their knowledge of these skills, doing a lot of the same drills we use when we train our liberos at K-State. Examples of drills will include: serve/pass, pass/set, dig/set, and playing a lot of games while competing in these skills.

What to Bring:

• All campers should wear comfortable athletic gear, knee pads, and indoor athletic shoes for camp.
• Players should each bring their own labeled water bottle to camp each day.
• Campers can bring their own snacks to camp each day.
• Please label all personal belongings.
• Please bring your own lunch, as lunch will not be provided.
